Song of Sorrow

I have to swallow
this painful sorrow
with its gloomy glow

The happiness I tried to sow
which takes forever, very slow
yet it never seem to ever grow

My God, only to whom I bow
please lift me from this life so low
please give me happiness in a better tomorrow
