Top PS2 RPG

Well time for compiling the list of the best games :

1. Persona 3 (FES)
Incredibly stunning, simply superb. Love the plot, love the storyline, love the Japan-ish setting.

2. Mana Khemia : Alchemists of Al-Revis
The story is fun, the combination of characters bring up a lot of interesting dialogs, the combat (time card, burst, chain) system is great, the item synthesize system is nice.

3. Shadow Hearts (3) : From the New World
Wow, how could I forget about this. The graphic is nice, the plot twist is great, the combat system is great as well, the character developmet is great, hence the great job class system (each person with unique ability). And now I'm wondering why I put this at #3.

4. Odin Sphere
The graphic, even though comes in 2D, is awesome. The voice acting is superb, Persona or Mana Khemia are great, but this is just better. The different yet merged time line story is also outstanding, too bad a lot of reusable bosses.

5. Final Fantasy XII
Last but not least, the last series of FF in PS2. Full Story

Atelier Iris 4 : Mana Khemia - Alchemists of Al-Revis

The fourth game of atelier iris, the third one I played (I skipped the second one), well, short opinion, the game is great. It's improved with a lot of new systems, new items synthesize system (although only for the non weapon items), new growth book system - very similar to FFXII "level up" system, role play system (where the other team members can automatically gather or synthesize items or level up).

Well... I do dislike the growth book, it kinda limited myself from being over powerful, so kinda no point of leveling up, the monsters are still difficult. The class vs free time system also limit your movement, you could skip/miss a lot of events (similar to events in FFIX), thus have to replay the game (luckily there is a new game + after finishing the game).

The story, so far still so-so, a Harry Potter-like story, Vayne, the main character is the son of the most well known-famous alchemist, and without knowledge of his father, he is invited to the academy of alchemist - al-ravis. Then he met a lot of friends that shared same workshop, etc.

The dungeon is more complicated with lesser user friendly map. The monsters design is about the same with the prequels. Pamela - the ghost, is reappearing as a playable character now.

Well yea, at least this is one game that is enjoyable, especially the new synthesize system *perhaps*.

Sam & Max 205 - What's New, Beelzebub?

The latest episode of Sam & Max, which is also the season finale for season 2, is just perfect, nice and great. Apart from the excitement of playing a cartoon instead of mere watching it of course. Anyway, the story continues where the last episode left off. And if you remember all the story from the previous episodes, you'll be thrilled to know that the creator/designer/plot writer really know what they are doing and really take that time traveling scenarios into consideration.

*contains spoilers*

Anyway this episode will reveal many things. And sorry to disappoint you but this episode doesn't include superball at all. But you'll be rejoiced by Hugh Bliss or Brady Culture for example, or see how comical the satan and the hell is.

Don't worry about superball since all the other recurring characters are there as well, Bosco, Momma Bosco, Flint, Stinky, Grandpa Stinky, Mr. Featherly, the COPS, Mr. Spatula, Jimmy, Abe and Sybill. And this time Sam & Max also get more places to explore (compared to the previous episodes), although mostly are the same old places.

Oh yea I did mention about time traveling. In the episode 1, Sam & Max went to the future to help themselves, and also in the previous episode, episode 4, they met their past or semi future selves, and yea, it can be quite confusing.

And without giving more spoilers, you'll get to know who is the big boss of evil in this season, and it will be the least thing you'll ever thought *hint hint*.

If you play Sam & Max before, or a big fan, or going to play it, you'll going to enjoy it :)

Persona 3 & Persona Trinity Soul 15

Persona 3 FES is coming this April, I really can't wait for the excitement, and perhaps for the upcoming Persona 4 as well (too bad I have to wait for a long time for the subs). And while watching the raw version of persona trinity soul ep 15 after skipping some episodes, well the voice figure does come out in the episode.

*spoilers*

Sam & Max 204 - Chariot of the Dogs

The latest adventure game featuring the duo Sam and Max was recently released. The story continues where Sam and Max managed to get rid of Jurgen the vampire.

Anyway since I can't comment much - as in expressing my thought clearly, I only can say that this game rocks a lot! It's the kind of adventure game that you've been waiting for and as Sam and Max fans, this game will even thrill you more!

Anyway we'll learn a lot of things here such as Bosco's past, where did he go after episode 2, grandpa Stinky, and even agent Superball.

That's all for now.
