Pokemon - Karakuri Castle

Ah, felt so bad after not doing any update to this blog for a while. Anyway, Pokemon released another combiner, ポケモンからくりキャスル - Pokemon Karakuri Castle, which consists of five pieces and they able to combine into a castle track thing with great gimmick - err - playability.

Anyway this set is supposed to be released somewhere in May in Japan, but too bad, I only managed to get 2 pieces, no. 2 and no. 4, yes I tried to look at a lot of stores, in Japan. Anyway, it never reach Singapore, so I gave up and had to order it from online shop. Here it is...

The first piece is ピカチュウ & 大観覧車 (pikachu & daikanransha - big ferris wheel). There is a big wheel which caters for 3 seatings, each for one pokemon. There is one small wheel to operate/move/rotate the whole big wheel.

The second piece is ポッチャマ & まわるみはり台 (pocchama & mawarumiharidai - turning lookout). There is a lookout place thing, and the pokemon will automatically turn around as it passes the area. Same as previous piece, there is a small wheel to operate the lever to push the pokemon to go through the lookout area.

The third piece is コザル & ぐるりん大車輪 (hikozaru & gururindaisharin - big wheel something). Almost the same with ferris wheel except that this wheel operates differently. There is also a small wheel acts as the mechanical lever to operate the whole thing, so basically the pokemon is loaded to the wheel, it will go up and then spin all the way down, and wait for the wheel to pick it up again. Argh, hope I make sense here.

The fourth piece is ナエトル & でんぐり大階段 (naetoru & denguriookaidan - big stairs something). The pokemon will fall down from the "stairs" with rotating movement. So cute! There is no wheel to operate this piece, so we just have to make the pokemon to fall ourselves.

The final piece is グレッグル & 砦 (guregguri & toride - fortress). The pokemon will seat on the top part of the 'fortress', watching around while we can attach other pokemons below it and rotate the small wheel so it goes into and out the fortress. There's a door/bridge thing that can be opened to become another part of the big track.

This is the picture of the whole 5 pieces.

Those pieces can be combined together to form the final complete thing - karakuri castle track. The 4 small wheels somehow are connected to each other, so one one movement to one wheel will affect the other, thus perform a very neat mechanical thing.

This is the best track combiner I have, and I enjoy this one very much.

Saint Seiya Hades - Elysion Finale

1st August is the date when the last 2 OVA episodes of the SSH series were released. Watched them from youtube. Good since I could watch all 5 god clothes of Seiya/Shiryu/Hyoga/Shun/Ikki + Athena/Saori, bad since it ended too short, Hypnos and Hades were defeated easily (I don't quite remember about Thanatos).

Anyway, I bought this item (x2) last month, it's quite... rare, I couldn't find any in Japan, in Singapore, it's sold out fast enough ... within 2 days.

To update my collection list, after Thanatos there were Eta Mime and Io - Scylla

Batman - Dark Knight

Last Thursday I managed to watch Batman the dark knight. It was a good movie, apparently is the best - ranked 1 - by imdb. Anyway I decided to buy a 'souvenir' for a memento of this movie. It's not the expensive $600 toy.... couldn't afford that much <_<

The box comes with 2 things, the batmobile + batman riding the batpod.

The batpod can be loaded into the batmobile, and the batmobile will eject the batpod.

It's not highly detailed, not really recommended for it's $100 price tag.

Keroro-Pla Musha

My addiction towards Kerorro started with the God Keron, and slowly, but sure, I started to collect this gundam-ish toy. Not really robot per say, but it works the similar way, I mean, the way to build/construct this thing.

With the latest addition of Giroro and Dororo that I bought from Yadobashi - Japan, I got this line up:

Oh yea before continuing to the main topic, I'd like to post the non musha lines first :D

The Musha-line is actually good one, kinda resemble those old Japanese warrior thing. The first one is Keroro himself, Musha Keroro - resembles a mushashi or something samurai-ish. Notice how this line can be 'transformed'. Oh yea, Keroro's armor and Tamama's armor is swappable.

The next one is Ashigaruhei Tamama. It's more to a peasant for me.

The next one is Kururu Yabui, doctor/surgeon/barber Kururu.

The next one is Giroro Rounin, this is the outcast.

The last one is Dororo Touryou, ninja-ish thing.

The next ones are the Musha Keroro Robo lines, it's quite good from what I saw/heard. Can't wait for placing my hands on them.

Random Toys

I went to Japan from 21st June - 1st July, and got some random stuff for display. Toys are much cheaper there, especially I able to manage to get some used goods - oh well I don't mind.

I bought the mai hime dvd and Arika figure for less than 2000 yen each. The next ones I bought were 2 boxes of Keroro pla model kit and 2 boxes of pokemon karakuri castle set. The other thing I bought was Miyu - blue suit.

Oh yea I bought this thing as a gift, the shinkansen N700 series - origami, I couldn't really make/fold it well *sigh*.

During my random shopping to Comics Connection (not in Japan obviously), I managed to find and buy these :D. They're supposed to be sold out everywhere, so no harm in buying for 'stocks'

During the takashimaya toy fair, I bought the Megaman toys series (featuring Megaman Battle Exe and Megaman X 8), quite cheap, and also another 2 Gash card/book game thingy.

Gyouten Gattai! Keroro Base

仰天合体!ケロロベース (Gyouten Gattai! Keroro Base - literally translate to 'amazing combiner') is another combiner which I bought recently, although it's kinda expensive because it's rare and I had to order it from online auction. Well, by now I have a lot of combiners. Lets categorized them then. Lets see.. I have those that can serve as playable track, base, and robots. So, I'll name them track combiner, base combiner and robot combiner, is it good so far? ^^

Back to topic, I've ordered a base combiner lately, and actually it was shipped - delivered to my house earlier, but I didn't received the message, so I actually took the item myself on the last day. Lucky me. If it's not taken by that time, the items would be returned to the seller. I was actually quite angry since I was overseas, thus the post office should not act like that - even though it's their policies *sigh*. Anyway, I still got my item in the end, so nobody's hurt ^^.

This is the pic when they're combined together

The first piece is Keroro & A parts

This is actually the 'backbone' & head cover piece, which serves as a lift. When it stands by itself it becomes a lift as shown from the picture. When combined, it also still becomes a lift from the main control room to the weird robot thing.

The second piece is Giroro & B parts

This is the left ear of the giant keroro base which serves as Giroro's control room, also furnished with the red tent.

The third piece is Tamama & C parts

This is the body piece which stores the robot thingy.

The fourth piece is Kururu & D parts

This is the right ear of the giant keroro base which serves as Kururu's control room, also furnished with the 'robot' I've been talking about.

The last piece is Dororo & E parts

This piece cover the most thing, head, arms and legs. By itself, it serves as the 'base'.

And this is the final look of the giant keroro base when they're combined together.

Overall, this is a really neat toy which is fun to play with!
